Away from the daily noise, a two-hectare enclosed park — room to breathe, to walk, to let the children run free, under the welcome shade of the pines.
A pleasantly wild pine grove.
As you'll see in the photos, the park is a fairly “wild” pine grove, with a few other tree species here and there: mimosas, cypresses, palms, oleanders, callistemons, four-o'clocks and other plants of the south. The ground is rather dry in summer, but from late autumn until the following summer some areas turn a beautiful green that you'll enjoy in the photos. We have also planted a few herbs (mint, thyme, lemongrass…) — you'll need to wait for them to grow to fully enjoy them.
The atmosphere in the park is friendly and family-oriented: many guests come back and love meeting up again year after year. Children usually make friends quite quickly…
A large part of the park is left free and natural, leaving a lovely space to relax and play — for your children (cycling, ball games…) or for you (pétanque, sunbathing, breakfast or even a picnic under the pines). Early risers may even spot a few rabbits or squirrels, or listen to the birds.
An enclosed haven, designed for children.
Our property — a two-hectare park — is a former vineyard turned into a pine grove from 1970 onwards. Earth banks around the perimeter and walls along the roadside mark its boundaries. So that children can play safely, the entrances are closed by gates — some with keypads — and the car parks, set inside the grounds, stay on the edge of the residential area: cars only move near the accommodations on Saturdays.
Little by little, we are shaping a haven of peace and safety within these grounds, which remain wholly natural. The many trees keep the air cool and sheltered from the wind — in high summer the temperature gap with the Argelès beaches is noticeable. Here you can lounge, rest, play or cool off in the pool; children can play and ride their bikes with no risk of crossing the road, and depending on the property you can even keep an eye on them from your terrace.
Time set to nature's rhythm.
We are lucky to offer a holiday spot that is fairly quiet compared with the usual summer destinations. The access roads and the railway line nearby were dug below the level of the property, which dampens their noise; our location also shelters us from the typical sounds of the seafront. Most of our guests find the property peaceful — if you are after absolute silence, we cannot promise it: here, time is set to nature's rhythm, birdsong and the song of the cicadas…
The little creature you can barely make out on this pine is a cicada! The song of the cicadas is dear to lovers of idleness, of reading in the shade of a pine, and of afternoon naps.
